I’ve been spending the last two weeks rushing through interviews and meetings trying to find a new job.
Fortunately just today I’ve accepted an offer at a new company. The new job is pretty exciting. A great raise in pay with stock options. The company also seems like they’d be interested in what Mono has to offer. Good times.
MonoCast will return to regular programming shortly.
In episode 4 I talk with Randy Ridge and Rob Loach from the Tao Framework project. Alan McGovern and I have a developer chat. And I put out an Open Source SOS for the new OpenXNA project.
No interviews this episode. I just talk about a few things from the conference and put out an OS SOS for Sebastien and his Security and Cryptography projects.
I got in from a long rough flight home just 2 hours ago. And haven’t had anytime to get my act together - nor do I have the energy - to record tonight. So I’m going to release tomorrow night after I’ve had a chance to rest.
I am encoding the remaining 20 minutes of Miguel’s presentation and I’ll put that up later tonight.
I recorded the sessions for the first day. I didn’t have the tripod I’d brought - lost it - and the camera needed to be near an outlet. So the quality isn’t the best. But, something is better than nothing.
Oh! I forgot… Dang.. It’s encoded as an .mov. =( I haven’t had a chance to encode it as something else.
Martin got MUCH better video that they’ll post soon. But if you can’t wait here’s a chance to check out what went on at the conference. I’ll post other videos later.
This is an “early adopter” video for folks who can’t wait for Martin’s much better video.
In this episode I cover the latest news, spotlight the OS X port of Tangerine, and talk with CJ Adams-Collier about why he became a developer and what he’s up to now. I also cover the usual segments including OS SOS and check the mail bag.
Enjoy!
